Shannon Tacker, Chief Executive Officer
Shannon Tacker has been serving as CEO of University Clinical Health (UCH) since May 2020, and is responsible for formulating and executing UCH’s business strategy and operational plans.
She also oversees the partnership between UCH and the University of Tennessee, and provides oversight for UCH’s 23 locations. Tacker was recognized in December 2021 as a Woman Who Leads in Healthcare by the Memphis Business Journal.
Prior to joining UCH, Tacker was Vice President and Executive Director of UT Le Bonheur Pediatric Specialists, where she managed the operational and financial aspects of the practice, and provided oversight for more than 250 providers. Additionally, Tacker recruited and onboarded 50 providers, developed and managed an annual budget with $55 million in revenue, and built an in-house call center and scheduling process.
During her time as Chief Financial Officer for Baptist Medical Group, Tacker led the acquisition and transition of four physician groups and developed front and back end revenue cycle functions.
Notably, Tacker had a 15-year tenure with UT Medical Group, where she rose from staff accountant to Vice President. Her achievements included opening and managing an outpatient radiology facility, developing a partnership with a vascular access center and managing clinical operations for 10 locations and a call center.
Tacker is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Medical Group Management Association and the American Medical Group Association. She and her husband, Jeff, live in northern Mississippi and have three children.
