Jana Finder, General Counsel

Jana Finder has served as UCH’s General Counsel since early 2020, and oversees regulatory compliance, business contracts, insurance, litigation, and governance. Finder also serves as the UCH Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer. She is responsible for the organization’s day-to-day legal needs and risk management, and provides legal guidance to Senior Leadership, Human Resources, Directors of Operations, Physicians, Clinical Staff, and the UCH Board of Directors.  

 Finder’s prior work experience includes federal civil rights and employment litigation. She also represented hospitals and academic medical centers, including University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic, and University of Wisconsin. Finder also has worked in healthcare consulting for clients such as the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) and state Medicaid agencies. Finder and her husband live in midtown Memphis.  In her spare time, she works in her garden, works out at the gym, and attends live Memphis music events.
