David Stern

David M. Stern, MD, Chair of the Board of University Clinical Health, Robert Kaplan Executive Dean of the College of Medicine, Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs, UTHSC

For Dr. Stern, University Clinical Health is the lifeblood of the College of Medicine at UTHSC. It provides the opportunity for faculty to practice medicine in an environment created by the physicians and focused on patients and their families. It is truly a physician-led and professionally managed organization. Our vision, under Dr. Stern’s leadership, is to apply clinical innovations of every kind while treating all patients who come to its doors. UTHSC is very proud to carry discovery forward to patients through this faculty practice group.

Drew Botschner, Chief Executive Officer

Drew Botschner joined University Clinical Health as its Chief Executive Officer in 2014. A native of Ohio, he was an owner of and formerly served as General Counsel for Care Point Partners, LLC. Prior to Care Point Partners, he served as General Counsel for UC Physicians in Cincinnati, Ohio, the private practice group for clinical faculty members at University of Cincinnati Medical School. Also, Botschner was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for a Cincinnati-based provider of pharmacy and related services for patients who needed home-based infusion services.

Brad Canada MD, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Canada assumed the role of Chief Medical Officer for University Clinical Health in 2013. A board certified nephrologist, he joined the medical staff in 2004 and was named Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. From 2008 to 2010, he served as Interim Chief of the Division of Nephrology, and in 2009 was named Associate Professor of Medicine. In 2012, he was appointed Associate Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Physician Services.

Joseph Misleh, Executive Director, Business Development

Joeseph Misleh serves as University Clinical Health’s Director of Business Development. Prior to joining the organization, Misleh oversaw the Financial Planning and Analysis department for BioScrip, Inc. Misleh earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and completed graduate studies at Xavier University’s Williams College of Business.

Courtney Love, Executive Director of Clinical Operations and Human Resources

Courtney Love is Executive Director of Clinical Operations, Human Resources and Organization Training. She also serves as Privacy Officer for the organization. Love joined University Clinical Health in 2007 and was promoted to her current role in May of 2016. She is a native Memphian, but joined University Clinical Health from Chicago where she worked for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a PHR (Professional in Human Resources) Designation. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) Human Resource Leadership Council.

Tim Carlew, Executive Director of Finance and Accounting

Tim Carlew joined University Clinical Health in 2014, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. Carlew came to the company from Provider Health Services where he also held the position of controller. He has also held the positions of Controller, Director of Accounting, Accounting Manager, Project Manager and Finance Manager within a wide variety of industries including software, aerospace, distribution and retail.

Michael Ryan, Executive Director of IT

Michael Ryan joined University Clinical Health in 2013 as Director of IT, responsible for all Application Development and Hardware Infrastructure Systems. Michael is a native Memphian with more than 24 years in the IT field. During that time, he has worked in IT management roles for Memphis-based corporations Morgan Keegan, Accredo Health and M.S. Carriers. Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Christian Brothers University.

Tiffany A. S. Wright, Director of Corporate Quality and Compliance

Tiffany A. S. Wright joined University Clinical Health in 2016 as the Director of Corporate Quality and Compliance, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in the health care arena spanning from her clinical background to her knowledge of quality improvement with extensive concentration in care coordination and management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and two Masters’ degrees, one in Health Science Education and another in Healthcare Management graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is a member of the National Association of Healthcare Quality and works diligently with the Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee assisting in philanthropy and awareness.
