University Clinical Health’s Division of Hematology is dedicate to the diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of benign blood disorders including both common and rare diseases such as: Anemia, Hemophilia, Hemostasis, Thalassemia and Thrombosis, low platelets and platelet disorder (ITTP, TTP, aHUS, ET), myeloproliferative disorders (excess of white or red blood cells) and abnormalities of iron metabolism.
UT Hematology is proud to provide a unique comprehensive Hemophilia and Thrombosis Treatment Center. The HTTC is total care because every facet of the person is addressed, including their physical, emotional and psychological needs by offering multi-disciplinary care to patients with rare bleeding disorders. Services provided in our clinic include hematology physician services, nursing, case management and social work, onsite laboratory, infusion therapy, physical therapy, dentistry, and pharmacy management. The clinic is also staffed with primary care physicians for regular medical needs and other specialist providers. Our comprehensive HTTC is one of only 120 in the nation, and the only of its kind in Memphis for the adult population.
